Our team were asked by the roofing contractor to find a solution to remove the existing system whilst the school roof was re-roofed. Upon inspection it became apparent that the mounting system had become no longer fit for purpose. Our design team worked with Sunfixings to ensure we could find the correct solution for a new mounting system due to the age of the existing panels.
The system was decommissioned, a new roof installed and the new system installed and turned back on within a week to ensure the school continued to make the most of the energy generation.
